Plenty of ways to stay cool in Oshawa!

Community members can enjoy the City of Oshawa’s outdoor pools, splash pads and Lakeview Park Beach all summer long through to Labour Day (Monday, September 7).

Outdoor Pools

Camp Samac and Rotary Park outdoor pools are open for the season. View leisure swim schedules, pool admission requirements and general pool rules at oshawa.ca/Swim.

Lakeview Park Beach East

Lakeview Park Beach East is supervised by lifeguards daily from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Beachgoers can borrow lifejackets at no cost (first-come, first-served). The lifejackets are provided by the City in partnership with the Hamilton-Ontario Port Authority.

Please note, paid parking is in effect at Lakeview Park Beach, Lakeview Park and Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park on weekends, public holidays and during City-led events. Oshawa residents can park for free by registering their vehicle(s) for a Waterfront Parking Permit. Register for your Waterfront Parking Permit at oshawa.ca/WaterfrontParking.

Splash Pads

The City of Oshawa has several splash pads available throughout the city, open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information on splash pad locations, visit oshawa.ca/Splashpads.

Heat Events

During a heat event, all City splash pads and outdoor pools will have extended operating hours until sunset. Lifeguard supervision at Lakeview Park Beach East will also extend until sunset, weather permitting. Check beach closures at durham.ca/CheckandGo before visiting.
