Significant weather update

Below are updates to the City’s response to the severe weather event on Wednesday, February 18.

Committee of Adjustment meeting

• Due to the weather conditions, the Committee of Adjustment meeting this evening (Wednesday, February 18) has been cancelled.

City Operations

• City recreation facilities will be open and programs are running as scheduled. Participants will be contacted if individual programs or courses are cancelled.

Snow Clearing

• The City follows a priority system: arterial and collector roads first, then residential streets and then sidewalks. View the snow clearing activity report.

Parking

• Parking on the street is not allowed during plowing and salting operations and is subject to escalating fines.
• Occasional Use Parking Permits will not be issued and are not valid.

Report It

• Please check the snow clearing activity report and wait a full day. Report concerns after 12:01 a.m. on the second day by calling Service Oshawa.
• Report trees down, streetlight outages, or road debris to Service Oshawa.
• Report power outages to Oshawa Power at 905-723-4623
