Temporary access changes at the Civic Recreation Complex

Community members are advised that the Civic Recreation Complex will undergo flooring renewal project for a two-week period, beginning September 21, 2026.

During this time, portions of the lower-level main hallway will be closed, resulting in temporary changes to access routes for the fitness centre, changerooms, squash courts and Civic Dome.

Changeroom access

Access to the lower-level gender-specific changerooms will be unavailable from the main hallway for the duration of the project. Pool users will continue to have access to the gender-specific changerooms from the pool deck. The lower-level Universal Change Room will also remain available.

Civic Dome and squash court access

The Civic Dome and squash courts will only be accessible through the Dome's exterior north entrance. Dome changerooms and washrooms will remain available for users.

Fitness centre access

The Fitness Centre will not be accessible from the main hallway entrance and will only be accessible through the Centre’s exterior east doors.

Please note:

• Fitness Centre users requiring access to changerooms or washrooms must exit the Fitness Centre and enter through the Civic Dome's exterior north entrance to access the Dome changerooms and washrooms.
• Alternatively, Fitness Centre users may use the Universal Change Room located near the main reception area on the upper-level.

Admissions and payments

Applicable admission fees must be paid at main reception before proceeding to the amenity being used.
