Celebrate Culture Days with free activities in Oshawa
The City of Oshawa invites community members to celebrate Culture Days from September 18 to October 4.
This national event is designed to foster public engagement within arts and culture. We encourage everyone to take part in the variety of activities planned by the City and local community organizations.
The City is proud to offer four free, hands-on workshops during Culture Days, inviting residents and visitors to explore a variety of mediums.
- Orange T-Shirt Pin Beading with Emily Clairoux – Thursday, September 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the South Oshawa Community Centre
- Block Printing with Priya – Tuesday, September 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Donovan Recreation Complex
- Beading on Fabric with Leequette Santiago-Hinds – Thursday, October 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Arts Resource Centre
- Pysanka (Ukrainian egg decorating) with Irene Chromej-Johnston – Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Delpark Homes Centre
All workshops are free. Advance registration is required and capacity limits are in effect. Register at oshawa.ca/CultureDays.

Plus, kick off Culture Days at Oshawa Tourism’s Convergence Music and Art Festival on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20. Enjoy free hands-on art activities led by the City of Oshawa from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Veterans Square in downtown Oshawa.
