Help shape Oshawa’s next moves for moving through our city

The City of Oshawa is updating its 2015 Integrated Transportation Master Plan (I.T.M.P.) and Active Transportation Master Plan (A.T.M.P.) and we need your input!

These updates will help shape how people and goods move efficiently around Oshawa over the next 30 years. As our city continues to grow, it’s important to plan proactively for a transportation system that meets the needs of residents, businesses and visitors today and in the future.

The I.T.M.P. and A.T.M.P. update will build on Oshawa’s existing transportation network and provide a roadmap to guide transportation investment and decision-making.

The City of Oshawa invites community feedback on:

  • The results of two alternative transportation scenarios, and input on additional transportation alternatives;
  • Transportation facilities such as sidewalks, cycling lanes, operational improvements, turning lanes, new roads; intersections, traffic calming measures, and transit enhancements (coverage, reliability, frequency) to help refine alternative scenarios;
  • The evaluation criteria for alternative scenarios to confirm whether they reflect your concerns and values, and invite suggestions for additional criteria.

Have your say!

Your input is important as the project team evaluates transportation network alternatives, and identifies preferred alternative and next steps to support Oshawa’s current and future transportation needs.

  • Visit Connect Oshawa (ConnectOshawa.ca/ITMP) to view the project background, complete an online feedback form to identify areas where issues and opportunities may exist along our transportation system.
  • Paper feedback forms are also available at Service Oshawa, located at City Hall (50 Centre St. S.).
  • Attend a Drop-in Public Open House on Wednesday, June 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Civic Recreation Centre (Room 1 & 2), 99 Thornton Rd. S., Oshawa ON L1J 5Y1.

Feedback will be received until noon on Friday, July 17 and will be considered by the project team.
