McLaughlin (Civic) Day holiday hours

Known province-wide as the Civic holiday, on Monday, August 3, the City of Oshawa observes McLaughlin Day, celebrating Colonel R.S. McLaughlin and his significant contributions to Oshawa.

Service Oshawa and City Hall

Service Oshawa and City Hall will be closed on Monday, August 3. Customer Service Representatives will be available at Service Oshawa on Saturday, August 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Waste Collection

There will be no waste collection service on Monday, August 3.

Waste collection will occur one day later than the regular collection service. To avoid being missed, place waste at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection.

Recreation Facilities

The City’s recreation facilities, including Camp Samac Outdoor Pool and Rotary Park Outdoor Pool, will operate on modified hours on Monday, August 3. View recreation facility holiday hours for details.
