Notice of Public Open House #2: Integrated Transportation Master Plan & Active Transportation Master Plan Update

What is this Study all about?

The City of Oshawa is updating its Integrated Transportation Master Plan (I.T.M.P.) and Active Transportation Master Plan (A.T.M.P.) to guide how people and goods move efficiently throughout the city over the next 30 years. The Study considers all modes of transportation and aims to improve safety, accessibility, connectivity, and sustainability while supporting the City’s Strategic Plan objectives. The Study Area includes all lands within the City of Oshawa.

How is the Study being carried out?

This Study is being undertaken in accordance with the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (M.C.E.A.) process, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act, and will follow Approach #1 for Master Plans. The Master Plan will consider improvements within the City of Oshawa’s Municipal Boundary.

What will be presented at Public Open House #2?

  • Present key feedback received from P.O.H. #1;
  • Present the results of two alternative scenarios of transportation network, and seek input on additional alternatives;

  • Share the evaluation criteria for alternative scenarios, confirm whether they reflect your concerns and values, and invite suggestions for additional criteria;
