Notice of reconstruction: Harmony Creek Trail – King St. E. to Adelaide Ave. E.
The City of Oshawa is preparing detailed designs to reconstruct the existing Harmony Creek Trail from King St. E. to Adelaide Ave. E.
Planned improvements include:
- 3m wide asphalt trail paving with improved drainage
- rest areas with benches and armour stone seating
- native shade tree planting
- installation of P‑gates, wayfinding signage and animal proof waste receptacles
- permitting and coordination with the local conservation authority and the Region of Durham
The City is seeking comments related to the accessibility of the recreational trail, such as rest areas, viewing areas, and amenities along the trail.
Construction is currently proposed for 2027, subject to approval through the Mayor’s Budget process.
Community members are invited to submit feedback to Service Oshawa. Feedback will be received until 4 p.m. on Wednesday July 15, 2026, and will be considered as part of the design.
