Thanksgiving Day service changes

Service Oshawa & City Hall

Service Oshawa will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 12. For your convenience, Customer Service Representatives will be on hand at Service Oshawa on Saturday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Oshawa Animal Shelter

The Oshawa Animal Shelter will be closed to the public on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 12. If you need to report an injured or stray animal, please call 905-436-3311. Learn about adoptable pets, animal services and helpful resources at oshawa.ca/Animals.

Waste Services

There will be no waste collection service on Monday, October 12.

For the remainder of the week following the holiday, the waste collection will occur one day later than the regular collection service. To avoid being missed, place waste at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection.

Recreation Facilities

On Monday, October 12, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, City recreation facilities will operate on modified hours:

• Delpark Homes Centre: Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours for arena rentals until 11 p.m.
• Harman Park Arena: Ice rentals 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• All other recreation facilities: Closed

All registered recreation programs will be cancelled.
