Halloween Boo Bash returns to Downtown Oshawa on October 17
The Oshawa Halloween Boo Bash returns on Saturday, October 17 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Presented by Oshawa Tourism, the Halloween Boo Bash is a free outdoor event, featuring live music and performances, local vendors, costumes and a steady stream of strange characters wandering the streets looking for someone to startle.
Event Highlights
Scare-sensitive activities: Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. there won’t be any scare actors in the event’s Scare Zones, giving smaller kids and anyone who scares easily the opportunity to enjoy the event in a less frightening way. Pumpkin decorating will also take place during this time in Victoria Lane. Select downtown businesses will also be taking part in trick-or-treating.
Live music and performances: Enjoy punk, rock and more heavy live music all day at The Boneyard Stage. A Michael Jackson impersonator will lead crowds through Beat It and Thriller twice, once just before 2 p.m. and again just before 7 p.m.
Halloween-themed entertainment: Costumed scare actors will be roaming throughout the footprint starting at 3 p.m. and giving theatrical performances. More entertainment includes a Krampus street party, aerial performers and a Scarecrow Lane created by local artists.
Road Closures: There will be a number of road closures throughout downtown Oshawa on October 17 for the event. Increased traffic around the downtown core is anticipated. Please plan your travel accordingly.
