Service Oshawa is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
City Hall departments operate Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • In person: Main floor of Oshawa City Hall at 50 Centre St. S. Visitors must enter through the main entrance on the south side of the building, across from the Robert McLaughlin Gallery or the Courtyard Entrance adjacent to Centre St. All other entrances are not open to the public.

  • Drop box: Located outside the Main Entrance at the south side of City Hall, across from the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery.
    All items dropped off after 1:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and anytime on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays will be processed the following business day. If your payment and/or documents are time sensitive they may be considered late if deposited in the drop box after 1:30 p.m. on the due date, resulting in late fees.

Who does what: Provincial, Regional, Local responsabilties

The City of Oshawa is part of a regional system of municipal government consisting of two tiers. The first tier is the regional level and the second tier is the municipal level.

The City of Oshawa provides local scale services such as:

Service Oshawa can:

  • Accept payments and program registrations and issue permits
  • Language translation is available over the phone and in person in over 150 languages
