Plenty of ways to stay cool this summer!
The City of Oshawa is preparing to officially open Lakeview Park Beach and it’s outdoor pools this summer!
Lakeview Park beach
Lakeview Park Beach East will be supervised by lifeguards beginning Monday, June 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Lifeguard supervision will continue through Monday, September 7.
The City of Oshawa, in partnership with the Hamilton-Ontario Port Authority (HOPA), offers lifejackets at Lakeview Park Beach East at no cost to visitors. Lifejackets are available from June 22 to September 7.

Waterfront paid parking
Until October 15, paid parking is in effect at Lakeview Park and Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park on weekends, public holidays (Victoria Day, Labour Day and Thanksgiving Day), and during City-led events.
Oshawa residents can park for free by registering their vehicle(s) for a Waterfront Parking Permit. Non-residents and vehicles without a permit are required to pay a flat rate of $20 per day on weekends, public holidays and during City-led events. Please note, parking is not available on Canada Day (July 1) unless the vehicle has a valid accessible parking permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation.

Rotary Park Pool
Rotary Pool is reopening this summer following a major revitalization as part of the City's centennial legacy project. To celebrate the reopening, City Council has approved free swimming opportunities for Oshawa residents at the pool once it officially opens.
To access these free swims, residents must obtain a Rotary Pool Season Pass. Passes are free and available to Oshawa residents only.
