- Events with over 1,000 people in attendance.
- Events permitting City-owned property.
- Events providing food, either for sale or for free. If permitting Lakeview Park, the Jubilee Pavilion has the first right of refusal. For more information, please contact Jubilee Pavilion.
- Events selling merchandise.
- Events requiring sidewalk and road use or closures on City-owned roads, trails, and/or sidewalks.
- Events requiring a tent larger than 20 ft by 30 ft.
- Events requiring licences, including inflatables, carnival items, live animals, alcohol, lotteries and games of chance.

Event organizers host over 100 festivals, events, walks and runs in our community every year. If you are interested in hosting an event in Oshawa, you have come to the right place!

Fees are associated with the following items
- Events held on City-owned property.
- Events requiring a road closure.
- Events requiring a tent larger than 20 ft by 30 ft.
- Events requiring fire inspections.
- Events requiring licences.

Your event may qualify for our grant program. This program opens for applications in December and closes in January each year.
