Convergence Music and Art Festival

The Convergence Music and Art Festival (hosted by Oshawa Tourism) is taking place in downtown Oshawa on September 19 and September 20. This festival celebrates the heart and soul of our community through music, art and immersive experiences. The City will be hosting a variety of activities at Veterans Square over the festival weekend to celebrate Oshawa’s local talent.

Call for artists: artworks for temporary exhibition at Convergence 2026

The City of Oshawa is excited to open a Call for Artists seeking artworks for temporary exhibition during the City’s programming at Convergence Music and Art Festival. Up to five artists will be selected to have a reproduction of their artwork exhibited in the square during the event.  

Applications are due on or before June 12 at noon. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Arts events

Each year the City offers a range of arts and culture events and programs. Offerings include exhibitions, festivals, and music and concert programming.

Photography at City of Oshawa events

The City of Oshawa hosts open, free public events. Photographers will be present taking photos and video footage at these events. These images may be used without further notification on City-owned and non-City-owned property, print media, digital media, the Internet, social media sites, media releases and broadcasts. By attending, you consent to such use.

Art classes

Each season the City offers a slate of creative classes through our Recreation program. We offer programs in arts and crafts, pottery, dance, drama and music. Classes are available for all age groups. In addition, an Inclusion Support Program ensures inclusive recreation opportunities for participants of all abilities.
