Playground Program
City of Oshawa's Playground Program, presented by Oshawa Community Credit Union, is a free summer program, bringing camp activities to neighbourhood parks across Oshawa.
From July 6 to August 21, children can enjoy free supervised activities led by trained Play Leaders, including games, crafts, group activities and more.
The Playground Program operates in six (6) park locations per day, with three (3) locations in the morning and three (3) locations in the afternoon. The program will a visit a total of eight (8) different park locations per week. A total of 23 diffierent park locations will be visited over the summer.
New! Advance registration now required
New this year, parents/guardians must register children in advance to participate in the Playground Program. Parents/guardians must register their children for each Playground Program they plan to attend.

All participants must complete the Emergency Contact and Consent Form before attending.
Playground Program
Ages 5 to 12
- Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Monday to Thursday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Available at select playground locations
- Parent/guardian attendance is not required
Play Leaders provide fun, engaging activities including games, crafts, and group play.
Washrooms are not available on-site. No programs on Civic Holiday.

- Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Available at select playground locations
- Parents/guardians must attend and actively participate

Know before you go
Children under 10 must be picked up and dropped off by a parent/guardian listed on the Emergency Contact and Consent Form. Government-issued ID is required for pick-up.
Participants aged 10 and older may walk home independently by completing the Permission to Walk Home section on the Emergency Contact and Consent Form.
Programs may be cancelled due to weather, staffing, or low attendance.
Playground Programs may be cancelled when inclement weather occurs. When a Heat Alert has been issued by Environment Canada, Playground Program locations without adequate shade will be cancelled for the day. Participants should wear sunscreen, a hat and bring a water bottle.
