Leisure Rooms

The City of Oshawa has two great places for youth to hang out with friends, play video games, or do your homework. Come on down to the Rec Room or Youth Room!

The Rec Room

The Rec Room at the Civic Recreation Complex features table tennis and pool tables. Please note the Rec Room may be unavailable if the space is being used for meetings. Check with reception for availability, payment (included in memberships also) and equipment sign-out.

• Hours of operation: Monday to Friday: 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday: Closed.
• Age requirements: Open to all ages (children ages eight and under must be accompanied by a guardian who is 14 years or older).
• Admission requirements:  Get full access to the Rec Room with your Fitness Membership or pay the daily admission fee.

Youth Room

The Youth Room at the South Oshawa Community Centre features pool tables, air hockey, ping-pong, large screen TV and the Xbox and Wii gaming systems.

• Hours of operation: Monday to Friday: 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday: Closed.
• Age requirements: Open to ages 10 to 17 years.
• Admission requirements: Visit the South Oshawa Community Centre and complete the Youth Room Membership Form to get full access to the Youth Room for only $6.50 per year.
