Public parking at Lakeview Park and Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park is not available unless the vehicle has a valid accessible parking permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation.

The City of Oshawa's Canada Day celebration is a free family friendly event at Lakeview Park. Come celebrate Canada's 159th birthday with live music, entertainment, delicious food, activities and displays. Recognized as a Top 100 event by Festivals and Events Ontario, the fun begins at 2 p.m. concluding with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Ontario at 10 p.m.
Transit: Durham Region Transit will operate on a weekend schedule, with additional evening trips on select routes from the Oshawa Centre Terminal after the fireworks conclude.
Shuttle Service: Beginning at 12:30 p.m., a shuttle service will run from the Oshawa Centre to Lakeview Park until 9 p.m. The shuttle will return attendees to the Oshawa Centre after the firework display has finished.
As a reminder to event attendees, to ensure safety at Canada Day, discharging personal fireworks is not permitted:
- Do not discharge fireworks on municipal property, public parks, or open spaces without a permit.
- Do not discharge fireworks on highways or roadways.
- Do not light fireworks in windy conditions.
- Do not attempt to re-light a defective or malfunctioning firework.
- Do not hold a lit firework in your hand.

The City of Oshawa hosts open, free public events. Photographers will be present taking photos and video footage at these events. These images may be used without further notification on City-owned and non-City-owned property, print media, digital media, the Internet, social media sites, media releases and broadcasts. By attending, you consent to such use.

Canada Day Drumming 2026
Gather at the Main Stage at 2:15 p.m., as Rhythm Works and Oshawa, along with other municipalities across Canada, kick off birthday celebrations with simultaneous drumming coast-to-coast.

For three decades, Backstage Pass has been entertaining the crowds across Durham Region and the GTA with crowd-pleasing pop and R&B covers. Enjoy their music at 3 p.m.!
Andy Earle and the Bandits
Andy Earle and the Bandits are back, and ready to get crowds on their feet. Dance the afternoon away at 5 p.m.!
Jackson and the Phantom Rebels
Jackson Begley does it all. A singer-songwriter, composer, and producer who seamlessly fuses genres as disparate as symphonic rock, barbershop, synthpop, and prog metal. Catch him and his band at 6 p.m.!
Rebekah Stevens
Rebekah Stevens is a powerhouse country singer-songwriter and a Top 8 Emerging Artist Finalist at the Boots & Hearts Music Festival. Check out her set at 7 p.m.!
Wolves on Tape
Wolves on Tape came together in late 2022 following the lifting of the pandemic restrictions. After a year of gigging heavily in southern Ontario, the group set forth on writing and producing their first EP. See what the hype is about at 8 p.m.!
I, The Mountain
