Public parking at Lakeview Park and Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park is not available unless the vehicle has a valid accessible parking permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation.

The City of Oshawa's Canada Day celebration is a free family friendly event at Lakeview Park. Come celebrate Canada's 159th birthday with live music, entertainment, delicious food, activities and displays. Recognized as a Top 100 event by Festivals and Events Ontario, the fun begins at 2 p.m. concluding with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Ontario at 10 p.m.
Transit: Durham Region Transit will operate on a weekend schedule, with additional evening trips on select routes from the Oshawa Centre Terminal after the fireworks conclude.
Shuttle Service: Beginning at 12:30 p.m., a shuttle service will run from the Oshawa Centre to Lakeview Park until 9 p.m. The shuttle will return attendees to the Oshawa Centre after the firework display has finished.
As a reminder to event attendees, to ensure safety at Canada Day, discharging personal fireworks is not permitted:
- Do not discharge fireworks on municipal property, public parks, or open spaces without a permit.
- Do not discharge fireworks on highways or roadways.
- Do not light fireworks in windy conditions.
- Do not attempt to re-light a defective or malfunctioning firework.
- Do not hold a lit firework in your hand.

The City of Oshawa hosts open, free public events. Photographers will be present taking photos and video footage at these events. These images may be used without further notification on City-owned and non-City-owned property, print media, digital media, the Internet, social media sites, media releases and broadcasts.
