Hip-Hop 50
Saturday, October 21 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Arts Resource Centre, 45 Queen Street, Oshawa.
The City of Oshawa, in collaboration with POR AMOR, invite the community to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop with a family friendly performance celebrating hip-hop culture and its power to build community.
This event will spotlight poetry, breakdancing, emceeing, and beat boxing, with opportunities to learn and participate in the art forms. The event is suitable for all ages.
The program will be led by POR AMOR. POR AMOR is a multi-disciplinary arts and culture organization providing arts based experiential learning that explore self-expression through poetry, storytelling, music creation and visual arts and focus on themes related to resilience, self-love, mindfulness, and the power of the arts for healing and wellness.
POR AMOR has been performing at school assemblies and facilitating community workshops for the last 20 years across the Greater Toronto Area.
