The City of Oshawa invites community members to celebrate Culture Days and Doors Open this fall. As part of this year’s festivities, we encourage community members to take part in a variety of virtual and in-person activities.

The City of Oshawa congratulates this year’s Oshawa Culture Counts Awards recipients who are being celebrated for their significant contributions to the community.

Oshawa’s virtual events receive FEO achievement awards

For the second year in a row, Oshawa’s virtual events have been recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) for pivoting, adapting and evolving to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The City of Oshawa’s virtual Peony Festival and Share Your Holiday Spirit have earned FEO achievement awards which celebrates the successful execution of a festival or event held in-person, virtually, or hybrid in 2021.

Northwest Oshawa to welcome future multi-use community centre

Recreation opportunities for community members are expanding in Oshawa’s rapidly growing northwest end. Council members joined staff from Oshawa Senior Community Centres 55+ (OSCC55+) and Oshawa Public Libraries at the future site of the new multi-use community centre to celebrate the project.
This capital project will be predominantly funded by Development Charges.
