Committees
Please note we are not presently seeking volunteers for Advisory Committees at this time.
The City of Oshawa uses a Standing and Advisory Committee structure to assist Council in dealing with municipal matters. Standing Committees are held on a four week rotation schedule, and Advisory Committee meetings are held monthly.
View the meeting calendar for a complete schedule. You may view live meetings at Oshawa.ca/webcast and archive recordings are available through the meeting calendar.
Please note that meetings are held in person in the Council Chamber or the Committee Meeting Room. Webcasts (live and archive) are provided for convenience only. Any failure of the audio or video streaming equipment for a Meeting or any portion thereof does not invalidate the outcome of the meeting.
Standing Committees
Standing Committees make recommendations to Council on matters within their purview and City Council has the final say on all matters. Each Standing Committee has five members of Council and the Mayor is ex-officio a member of all Standing Committees.
