Road closures in effect for the Fiesta Cultural Concert and Street Festival, including Centre St., Athol St., Debwewin Miikan, and Metcalfe St.
When: June 15, 2025, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Where: Impacted roads include Centre St. from King St. to John St., Athol St. from Centre St. to Simcoe St., Debwewin Miikan from Centre St. to Simcoe St., and Metcalfe St. from Centre St. to Simcoe St.

Metrolinx is preparing for the future Bowmanville Extension project, which will extend Lakeshore East GO rail service through Central Oshawa to Courtice and Bowmanville.

No through access will be available for emergency vehicles.
Road closure and detour signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards.
Local access to be maintained for retail space/Riocan shopping area north of roundabout -Riocan already provided notification to inform all their tenants
When: From June 2, 2025 until July 11, 2025

Where: Various roadways and intersections
Area to be covered. From south of Adelaide St. W to south City limits
And west of Ritson Rd. to west City limits
Work will be done mostly during the overnight hours.
When: From May 27, 2025 to August 31, 2025
Why: To refresh the various intersection line markings such as stop bars, crosswalks and short centerlines.
Please exercise caution when approaching line marking operation and follow all temporary condition and warning signs.

Waterfront trail (Farewell St and Harbour Rd) closed

Durham Region is rehabilitating Farewell St. and completing work on behalf of the City of Oshawa that includes a new north-south multi-use path along its east side.
Alongside these improvements, HOPA Ports is advancing its own infrastructure upgrades at the Port of Oshawa, focusing on construction of a new access way to the East Wharf port lands near the intersection of Farewell Street and Harbour Road.
