The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer is the link between Council and staff. It comprises four branches:
Corporate Strategic Initiatives
Corporate Strategic Initiatives support the leadership team in developing and aligning corporate priorities. The office is a resource for the development of:
- Business planning
- Continuous Improvement Framework
- Corporate policies
- Intergovernmental relations
- Project management
- The Oshawa Strategic Plan
Human Resource Services
Human Resource Services is responsible for overseeing all human resource activities for the City of Oshawa.
Innovation and Transformation
Innovation and Transformation leads change through new activities and programs, including partnerships with the private and public sections and collaboration with internal teams.
This office leads the following corporate initiatives:
- Accessibility and Age-friendly compliance and initiatives
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation
- TeachingCity Oshawa
Legal Services
The Legal Services branch is the City's in-house law firm. They provide legal representation on City business and operations matters.
