Oshawa pier temporary closure at Lakeview Park

The Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA Ports) and the City of Oshawa advise that the pier at the Oshawa waterfront is temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, October 15 at 8 a.m., to accommodate required restorative work. Visitors to Lakeview Park are requested to adhere to the temporary closure of the pier.

The City is working collaboratively with the HOPA Ports, and the pier is anticipated to reopen in the spring of 2025.

Trail Closures due to Flooding

Update: The following trails have reopened. 

• Oshawa Trail Sinclair Ave. to Gibb St. 
• Harmony Trail at the King St. E. underpass
• Harmony Trail at the Bond St. E. underpass  

The following trail remains closed due to flooding until further notice.

• Harmony Trail at the Adelaide Ave. E. underpass

The closure does not affect any roads.

Elevator Service Disruption at Parking Garage 1

The elevator at Parking Garage 1 (12 Centre St. N.) in downtown Oshawa is currently out of service due to repairs.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience and is working closely with contractors to make the repairs as quickly as possible.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available in other downtown City parking garages, surface lots and on-street.

Civic Outdoor Track Reconstruction Project

The Civic Recreation Complex is well known for its outdoor track and stadium that hosts numerous track and field events each year, as well as football, lacrosse and soccer teams.
