Historic Oshawa partnership secures 30-year agreements with Oshawa Generals and Oak View Group

The City of Oshawa today announced 30-year partnerships with the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club and Oak View Group. The announcement included the City’s $50 million investment to modernize the Tribute Communities Centre (TCC), with enhancements including a new prime location for the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame.

Community Tree Planting at Gold Point Wildlife Reserve Gets a Boost

Help bring new life to the Gold Point Wildlife Reserve! On Saturday, May 3, join LEAF (Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests), in partnership with Tree Canada and Trees for Life and fellow community members for a tree planting event dedicated to restoring this natural space. On April 28, the City of Oshawa will join communities and organizations in observing National Day of Mourning to remember those who have lost their lives or suffered injury or illness at work.
On Monday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at City Hall (North Parkette), the City will honour workers who have died, were injured, or became ill from their job. The City will lower the Day of Mourning Flag at City Hall and flags will fly at half-mast at City facilities.
