Oshawa welcomes GM’s $280 million investment in next generation truck production

On behalf of the City of Oshawa, Mayor Carter is thrilled to welcome GM Canada’s announcement that they will invest a further $280 million in the Oshawa Assembly plant to build GM’s next internal combustion engine (ICE) full-size trucks.
With this investment, GM has committed more than $1.4 billion in Oshawa since 2020. These investments further solidify Oshawa’s footprint in the transformed automotive industry of the future and ensure that GM manufacturing operations and thousands of quality jobs...
