Plan for every season – know your risks

Emergency Preparedness Week (EPW) is May 4 to 10, 2025 and the City of Oshawa reminds us that emergencies such as severe weather events or prolonged power outages can occur anytime, anywhere.

Community members are encouraged to be ready for an emergency by preparing an emergency kit for their home. Conant Park reopens with new amenities, community cleanup and student volunteers making a difference

The City of Oshawa is excited to announce the revitalization and reopening of Conant Park.  More than 60 students from Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School along with local community members came together to celebrate the reopening with a community clean up.

Conant Park is a neighbourhood park located between Ritson Road South and Wentworth Street East in Ward 5, behind Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School.

Historic Oshawa partnership secures 30-year agreements with Oshawa Generals and Oak View Group

The City of Oshawa today announced 30-year partnerships with the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club and Oak View Group. The announcement included the City’s $50 million investment to modernize the Tribute Communities Centre (TCC), with enhancements including a new prime location for the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame.
