Oshawa’s virtual events receive FEO achievement awards

For the second year in a row, Oshawa’s virtual events have been recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) for pivoting, adapting and evolving to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The City of Oshawa’s virtual Peony Festival and Share Your Holiday Spirit have earned FEO achievement awards which celebrates the successful execution of a festival or event held in-person, virtually, or hybrid in 2021.

The City of Oshawa is currently accepting community feedback to help shape and inform a Feasibility Study related to the conversion of the Arts Resource Centre into a cultural hub.
City staff are investigating the possibility of developing an arts venue that can develop and support professional artistic and creative practices, adding capacity for arts and culture within Oshawa, and are seeking community feedback in this initial research phase. Northwest Oshawa to welcome future multi-use community centre

Recreation opportunities for community members are expanding in Oshawa’s rapidly growing northwest end. Council members joined staff from Oshawa Senior Community Centres 55+ (OSCC55+) and Oshawa Public Libraries at the future site of the new multi-use community centre to celebrate the project.
This capital project will be predominantly funded by Development Charges.
