Roadway update: 2025 Traffic line painting in progress

Where: Various roadways and intersections

Area to be covered. From south of Adelaide St. W to south City limits

And west of Ritson Rd. to west City limits

Work will be done mostly during the overnight hours.

When: From May 27, 2025 to August 31, 2025

Why: To refresh the various intersection line markings such as stop bars, crosswalks and short centerlines.

Please exercise caution when approaching line marking operation and follow all temporary condition and warning signs.

Waterfront trail (Farewell St and Harbour Rd) closed

Durham Region is rehabilitating Farewell St. and completing work on behalf of the City of Oshawa that includes a new north-south multi-use path along its east side.

Alongside these improvements, HOPA Ports is advancing its own infrastructure upgrades at the Port of Oshawa, focusing on construction of a new access way to the East Wharf port lands near the intersection of Farewell Street and Harbour Road.

Metrolinx Notice: Albert Street watermain replacement

A new watermain will be installed across the Albert Street corridor as part of the Metrolinx Bowmanville Extension project.

Why: This work involves micro tunneling, a trenchless method that utilizes a guided boring system to install underground watermains. This watermain will be installed under the existing railway which will tie into the existing system at Fisher Street and Albany Street.

When: April 21 to July 31, 2025

Sidewalk Closure on Bond Street West - south side at Oshawa Creek Bridge

What: The Sidewalk on the South Side of Bond Street West between McMillan Drive and Park Road North will be closed to pedestrians for safety reasons.

When: From March 26, 2025 until further notice.

Where: South side of Bond Street West between McMillan Drive and Park Road North.

Why: Damage to Bridge Guardrail
