Civic Dome Closure

Due to forecasted cold weather temperatures, the Civic Dome will be closed on Sunday, January 19, Monday, January 20, and Tuesday, January 21, 2025. A decision regarding the reopening of the Dome on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will be made on Monday, January 20, 2025. This page will be updated accordingly.

Civic Dome Heating Replacement Project

The Civic Dome is currently undergoing a heating replacement project, which will continue through the winter months. As a result, the dome will not be heated during this period and colder temperatures are expected inside.

Users of the Civic Dome track and tennis courts are advised to dress in layers or wear cold-weather-appropriate clothing to stay warm. If  temperatures inside the dome become uncomfortable, members may cancel their memberships at any time without penalty.

South Oshawa Community Centre pool closed until further notice

The South Oshawa Community Centre (SOCC) pool (1455 Cedar St.) is closed for an extended time to assess and evaluate required repairs for the safe operation of the pool.

As a result of the pool closure, the City will not offer aquatic programs at SOCC until repairs are complete. Additional swimming lessons will be available at the Civic Recreation Complex, Delpark Homes Centre, and Donevan Recreation Complex.
