Civic Dome closed for maintenance February 19

The Civic Dome will be closed for maintenance on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The dome is expected to reopen Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Recreation Facility Holiday Hours - Family Day

Holiday Hours: Family Day
On Monday, February 17, in observance of Family Day, City recreation facilities will operate on modified hours as noted below:
- Civic Recreation Complex: open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Delpark Homes Centre: open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- South Oshawa Community Centre: open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Children's Arena and Harman Park Arena: available for arena rentals only
All other recreation facilities are closed and activeOshawa registered recreation programs are cancelled.

Civic Outdoor Track Reconstruction Project

The Civic Recreation Complex is well known for its outdoor track and stadium that hosts numerous track and field events each year, as well as football, lacrosse and soccer teams.
The City of Oshawa is investing $2.3 million in crucial repairs to the outdoor track and jumping runways. Staff are working diligently to expedite the project, with the goal of reopening the track in spring 2026.

Civic Dome Heating Replacement Project

The Civic Dome is currently undergoing a heating replacement project, which will continue through the winter months. As a result, the dome will not be heated during this period and colder temperatures are expected inside.
Users of the Civic Dome track and tennis courts are advised to dress in layers or wear cold-weather-appropriate clothing to stay warm. If temperatures inside the dome become uncomfortable, members may cancel their memberships at any time without penalty.
