Heating restored to the Civic Dome

The Civic Dome is currently undergoing a heating replacement project, and heat has been restored. As work continues, temporary closures may be required to complete the project. If needed, affected users will be notified promptly.

South Oshawa Community Centre pool closed until further notice

The South Oshawa Community Centre (SOCC) pool (1455 Cedar St.) is closed for an extended time to assess and evaluate required repairs for the safe operation of the pool.
As a result, of the pool closure, the City will not offer aquatic programs at SOCC until repairs are complete. Additional swimming lessons will be available at the Civic Recreation Complex, Delpark Homes Centre, and Donevan Recreation Complex.

Elevator Service Disruption at Parking Garage 2

The two elevators at Parking Garage 2 (117 Bond St. W.) in downtown Oshawa are currently out of service due to repairs.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience and is working closely with contractors to make the repairs as quickly as possible.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking spaces are available in the downtown in other City parking garages, surface lots and on-street.

Baker Park Bridge is closed due to safety reasons

Where: Baker Park Bridge is closed between Regent Dr. and Parklane Ave. This closure does not affect any roads.
When: Until further notice. Council has approved funding for the design phase of a new bridge which staff are currently working on, with construction funding to be reviewed as part of the 2025 Budget process. If the project is approved for construction, we anticipate completion in the third quarter of 2025.
