The City of Oshawa wants to know if you would be interested in taking a skate outside! Oshawa City Council has directed staff to gauge the community’s appetite for a seasonal, refrigerated outdoor rink that, weather permitting, would be open annually from December to March.
Community members are invited to share their level of interest in a seasonal, refrigerated outdoor rink by:

Natural outdoor ice rinks open at the Delpark Homes Centre

It’s time to lace up those skates and take to the ice. The City of Oshawa is excited to announce the opening of two natural outdoor skating rinks at Delpark Homes Centre (1661 Harmony Road North).
Effective Friday, January 14, the natural outdoor rinks will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are located on the southeast sport field near the main entrance of the facility. Hours of operation may be adjusted depending on ice or weather conditions. Please note that:

The City of Oshawa is looking for input from the community on the redevelopment of Raglan Park. Located at 79 Hurd Street, the redeveloped Park will feature new playground equipment and furniture, safety surfacing, internal pathway(s) and naturalized areas when completed.

The City of Oshawa is recognizing the contributions of its war dead and war veterans with the addition of four new names to the City’s Veterans Street Naming Program.
The City of Oshawa will pay tribute to George Kingsland, Ted Marks, Marshall McConkey, Frank “Hank” Valentine and Jack Valentine with the following additions to the list of available street names:

Construction value issued in Oshawa remained strong last month, with the City of Oshawa setting two building records in June 2021:
- Highest number of permits issued in June on record with 318 (surpassing record of 310 set in 1976).
- Highest number of Accessory Apartments issued in June on record with 19 (surpassing 9 set in 2020).
