Construction value issued in Oshawa remained strong last month, with the City of Oshawa setting two building records in June 2021:
- Highest number of permits issued in June on record with 318 (surpassing record of 310 set in 1976).
- Highest number of Accessory Apartments issued in June on record with 19 (surpassing 9 set in 2020).

Coyote sightings and safety in Oshawa

Community members are being asked to be cautious after a child was bitten by a coyote at Northway Court Park on Thursday, July 1, 2021. The child sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital and treated for the bite.
