Kick off Indigenous History Month with the Indigenous Cultural Celebration

The City of Oshawa is excited to invite all community members to the Indigenous Cultural Celebration on Saturday, May 31, at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park (169 Harbour Rd.). This event marks the beginning of Indigenous History Month, celebrating the rich and diverse cultures of the Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island.
Recently recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario, the Indigenous Cultural Celebration has received awards for Best New Festival, Top 100 Festival and the FEO Impact Award.

South Side of Donevan Recreation Complex Closed for Roofing Project

The Donevan Recreation Complex is undergoing a roofing project. As a safety precaution, the south side of the building, including the graffiti wall, will be closed off for the duration of the project. The Donevan Skate Park will remain open during this period.
The project is expected to be completed by June 27, 2025, weather permitting.

Registration Dates:
- Swimming lessons: Opens at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13
- General programs: Opens at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 15
