The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is inviting the public to share their opinion on the services we provide to help us develop our strategic direction for 2024.
The Community Survey is now live and will remain open until December 31, 2022. This short survey takes five minutes to complete and aims to collect input related to public safety and policing in Durham Region.

New Oshawa Community Grant Program to come into effect in 2023

The City of Oshawa will begin accepting applications December 1 for the new Community Grant Program, which provides support to community groups and organizations in Oshawa and comes into effect in 2023.
Oshawa City Council approved the new Community Grant Program in October 2021. It offers support under the following four programs:
- Arts, Culture and Heritage Events – funds to support the development and delivery of events, festivals, celebrations and gatherings in Oshawa.

At this time of year, urban communities often experience an increase in coyote sightings and activity. Residents are urged to report coyote sightings to Service Oshawa online service.oshawa.ca, by email [email protected] or by telephone 905-436-3311.
Coyotes can adapt to urban environments and lose their fear of humans often due to food sources readily available in our neighbourhoods. By reporting wildlife sightings, you are helping the City to monitor common locations.
