Better understand how your tax dollars are used with a personalized, estimated receipt of the City portion of your 2024 residential property tax dollars.
As a lower-tier municipality, the City collects property taxes for not only itself, but also on behalf of the Regional Municipality of Durham and the Province of Ontario. For every dollar collected this year, the City will keep only 40 cents, while approximately 45 cents will be sent to the Region and 15 cents to the Province for local school...

Construction on Mary St. for watermain replacement

The Regional Municipality of Durham will begin construction for the replacement of the watermain, sanitary sewer and services on Mary St. from Rossland Rd. East to 150 metres north of Robert St. Works will include restoration of all disturbed areas and full asphalt removal and replacement.
Construction schedule
The Region’s contractor, Trisan Construction Ltd., will begin mobilizing the week of April 29, 2024 and anticipates completing the work by September 2025.
