In response to recent events, Mayor Dan Carter issues the following statement, renewing the City’s urgent call for unified government action to address Ontario’s escalating public health crisis:

First two splash pads open in Oshawa - more opening May 21

The City of Oshawa is preparing for the warmer weather by planning the opening of a variety of cooling options for the season.
Splash padsThe following splash pads will open on Wednesday, May 14:
- Delpark Homes Centre (accessible splash pad)
- Lakeview Park (accessible splash pad)
Additional splash pads will be available on Wednesday, May 21. The City’s splash pads operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Labour Day (September 1), with hours extended to dusk during heat alerts.

Oshawa property owners are advised that 2025 Final Property Tax Bills have been issued.
Key Dates and Reminders:
- May 2025: 2025 Final Tax Bills are issued.
- May 31, 2025: If property owners have not received their Final Property Tax Bill by this date, they are encouraged to reach out to Taxation Services at [email protected].
- June 30, 2025: Payment due date. Late payment fees will be applied to payments received after this date.
