In response to recent trends that show a rapid increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, the Province of Ontario government has announced that all of Ontario will temporarily move into Step Two of its Roadmap to Reopen with modifications. The temporary measures are effective Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022), subject to trends in public health and health system indicators. With the introduction of additional Ministry of Health guidelines to slow the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, the City of Oshawa is expanding proof of vaccination requirements for all individuals over the age of 12 attending City Hall and Oshawa Animal Services, effective January 4, 2022. The City of Oshawa’s top priority is the safety and health of our community members and staff.
