Call for exhibition proposals from cultural organizations: Art & Culture in the Hall
The City of Oshawa is excited to invite Oshawa-based organizations, collectives and post-secondary programs in the creative and cultural industries, or Indigenous organizations, to submit proposals for temporary exhibitions to be displayed at Art & Culture in the Hall located outside Council Chambers at City Hall. (50 Centre Street South).
Proposals can include, but are not limited to, art exhibitions, heritage exhibitions, cultural exhibitions and community storytelling exhibitions. Up to four proposals will be selected to be displayed at Art & Culture in the Hall. Exhibitions will be on display from February 2026 to August 2026. Submissions will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025.
A selection committee will review submitted proposals and may consist of representatives from the City’s Cultural Leadership Council, Public Art Task Force, and/or City staff.
Visit oshawa.ca/ArtintheHall for information on the exhibition space, how to apply, application requirements, selection criteria, eligibility and more.
Please note this is a call for organizations, collectives and post-secondary programs. The City will launch a call for artists for Art & Culture in the Hall in early 2026.
