City of Oshawa mourns the passing of former Mayor Allan Mason
On behalf of Oshawa City Council, Mayor Dan Carter extends its deepest sorrow to the Mason family after the passing of former Mayor Allan Mason.
Allan was first elected to Oshawa Council in 1986. He served as a Regional and City Councillor from 1986-90, as Mayor of Oshawa from 1990 to November 1991, and later as a City Councillor from 1994-1997. Dedicated to his community, Allan was the Past President and Lifetime Member of the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa.

Flags at City Hall have been lowered to half-mast in memory of former Mayor Allan Mason.
“The City of Oshawa extends its deepest condolences to Allan Mason’s family and friends,” said Mayor Dan Carter. “Allan was a devoted and involved resident who not only volunteered his time but also dedicated nearly a decade to serving our community as a Member of Council. Our flags have been lowered to honour his service to our great city.”
