Oshawa pier reopens at Lakeview Park
Great news for Oshawa’s waterfront! Following recent upgrades, the Oshawa pier has reopened, offering Lakeview Park visitors a place to stroll, relax and enjoy the view.
To help ensure public safety, visitors are reminded that, in accordance with By-Law 83-2000, activities such as diving or swimming off the pier, fishing, climbing on the railings and docking boats are not permitted.
The Hamilton-Oshawa Authority Port Authority (HOPA Ports) owns the pier. The port and the City of Oshawa have a promenade agreement, allowing for public use of the pier on the west side of the Oshawa harbour.
The Pier is located adjacent to Lakeview Park which has several large designated picnic areas, a picnic shelter, playground and splash pad, and is home to the Oshawa Museum. Hot food, ice cream and beverages are available for purchase at the Jubilee Pavilion
