The City of Oshawa invites the community to celebrate Canada Day at Lakeview Park on Tuesday, July 1. Recognized by Festivals and Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario, the City’s celebration promises a fun-filled day for all ages.

Event Highlights

  • Activities and Entertainment: The celebration begins at 2 p.m. with activities and entertainment, including family-friendly options such as inflatables, K9 Dog Show, Reptilia, Club Carib of Oshawa steel pan drumming, Sandqube Sand Sculptures, along with Pro Wrestling Eclipse with the hottest live pro wrestling featuring talent from across Canada, and so much more.
  • Nationwide Drumming Event: Join the Canada Day Drumming Celebration at 2:30 p.m. on the main stage. This event is synchronized with other cities across Canada, including St. John’s, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Victoria. Bring your drums, pots, and pans to drum together, celebrating unity and diversity among all cultures with the theme: “One Beat. One Canada. Together We Drum. Together We Stand.”
  • Additional Attractions: Explore displays from community partners, visit the family, beach, and activity zones, enjoy culinary options from local food vendors, play on the midway rides and dance to the extensive lineup of live music on the main stage.
  • Opening Ceremonies: The official opening ceremony will take place on the main stage at 4:30 p.m.
  • Grand Finale Fireworks: Be sure to enjoy the fireworks display presented by Tribute Communities, which will bring a spectacular celebration of light to close the full day of celebrations. The fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m.

Transportation and Parking

  • Parking: Public parking at Lakeview Park is not available unless the vehicle has a valid accessible parking permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation.
  • Shuttle Service: Beginning at 1 p.m., a shuttle service will run from the Oshawa Centre to Lakeview Park until 9:15 p.m. The shuttle will return attendees to the Oshawa Centre after the firework display has finished.

  • Autres attractions.
