The City of Oshawa’s Events in the Park series, presented by TD Bank, continues into August with an exciting lineup of performances at Ed Broadbent Waterfront Park.
Events schedule:
Thursday, August 7 the Barns2Beaches Music Tour, presented by Durham Tourism, will feature emerging Canadian artists performing original songs and classic hits from 6–10 p.m.
Thursday August 14, Theatre on the Ridge will showcase a multimedia performance from 7-8:30 p.m. that combines storytelling and songs to explore true stories from the Porcupine Gold Rush.
Thursday, August 21, Winston "Pappy" Frederick will deliver a vibrant steelpan music performance and offer a hands-on demonstration of the instrument from 7-8:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 28 the Durham Youth Orchestra’s Heart Strings Quartet will host a program of classical and popular music. To be performed by talented local youth from 7-8:30 p.m.
Additionally, the Memorial Park Bandshell will host the Oshawa Civic Band on August 6 and August 27 at 7:30 p.m.
The Events in the Park series wraps up on September 12 at Columbus Park with a Family Movie Night, presented by Wellings of Whitby. The movie begins at dusk (approx. 8 p.m.). Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and snacks for this community evening under the stars.
