Get ready for a spooktacular Howl-o-ween
Just in time for Halloween, Oshawa Animal Services (O.A.S.) is hosting a spooktacular Howl-o-ween event on Sunday, October 30, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Stop by this outdoor rain or shine to show off your pet or child’s costume, snap a photo at the photo booth and get treat bags for the dogs, cats and children. In addition, children of all ages can enjoy face painting, pumpkin painting, a haunted house, a colouring station and so much more!
During the event, O.A.S. will be offering microchip services for $30. During the quick and painless procedure, a tiny computer chip is inserted under your pet’s skin between the neck and shoulder blade. The chip has an ID number to help reunite you with your pet, should they become lost.
Community members who bring a bag of dog or cat food or make a monetary donation to the OAS food bank will be entered to win a prize.
All donations raised enable O.A.S. to provide extra medical care or extend medical procedures so animals can go on to find loving forever homes. Donations received by O.A.S. have helped hundreds of animals get a second chance at a new beginning.
