Have Your Say: future Central Oshawa GO Station land use and transportation study - Stage 3
Planning for land uses and transportation around the future Central Oshawa GO Station is moving forward to Stage 3! The City of Oshawa invites community members to provide their feedback on a preferred land use alternative, a transportation evaluation of alternative solutions, and an updated land use plan and draft urban design guidelines for the Study Area surrounding the planned Central Oshawa GO Station.
Additionally, feedback is being sought on a preliminary design for the First Ave./McNaughton Ave. corridor between Simcoe St. S. and Ritson Rd. S., being completed as a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment as part of the Area-specific Transportation Master Plan.
A Master Land Use Plan and Area-specific Transportation Master Plan for the Central Oshawa Major Transit Station Area (M.T.S.A.) is underway. The M.T.S.A. is centered on the proposed Central Oshawa GO Station site located at 500 Howard St., situated on the south side of the Canadian Pacific Rail corridor approximately midway between Simcoe St. S. and Ritson Rd. S.
