Where:
This Special Meeting of Council will take place in the Council Chamber at Oshawa City Hall, 50 Centre Street South.

Why:
The Oshawa Official Plan is a document that sets out a unified set of policies and land use designations to guide long-term growth and development in the City of Oshawa. The Oshawa Official Plan was last updated in 2016. Now that Envision Durham, the Region’s Municipal Comprehensive Review of the Durham Regional Official Plan, has been adopted by Regional Council, it is appropriate to initiate a new City-initiated Official Plan Review as required under the Planning Act in order to:
- Conform to the newly adopted Durham Regional Official Plan; and,
- Conform to updated Provincial legislation, policies and plans.
