Oshawa welcomes DYMON Self Storage, featuring new co-working environment for businesses
The City of Oshawa is welcoming DYMON Self Storage with their newest location at Five Points Mall (285 Taunton Rd. E.).
The new 252,000 square foot facility features 1,660 storage suites ranging in size from a closet-sized space up to 10 x 30 feet with enough capacity to store the contents of a five-bedroom home. There are also options available for small businesses looking to safely store inventory or equipment, and the facility has an enclosed drive-in area that provides guests the opportunity to load or unload their possessions in a safe, climate-controlled, secure environment.
The facility has high-tech access controls, full humidity and climate control features to ensure the appropriate climate for belongings or business assets, as well as a state-of-the-art security system. The Oshawa location will also feature solar panels installed on its roof to reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
The DYMON Centre will also be home to a unique shared working environment called ‘DYMON Work Refined’. Opening in May, the space is described as a highly curated and professional collaborative work environment where businesses and professionals can rent an office or workspace station. Equipped with meeting rooms, board rooms, a shared kitchen and lounge, this workspace offers a change of scenery from working from home, while also presenting an opportunity for those with an expanding business who don’t want to commit to a long-term lease. DYMON Work Refined is fully furnished and users of the space have the ability to copy, print and scan documents. Storage space will also be available for business customers.
“We’re excited to welcome DYMON Self Storage to the City of Oshawa,” said Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter. “This facility is about so much more than storage. It will be a unique asset in our community that accommodates the transition to flexible work environments, offering corporate alternatives to the home office. As more professionals across the Greater Toronto Area call Oshawa home, co-working facilities will fulfill the needs of companies looking to adapt and grow their regional presence here.”
“We are delighted to be opening our first DYMON Self Storage facility in Oshawa,” said DYMON CEO Glen Luckman. “Our facilities are designed to be a reliable, cost effective extension to people’s homes or business, and the response from local residents has been very positive. People are also quite surprised with the wide selection of home décor retail products that are available in our DYMON Store.”
