Trees planted at Oshawa Executive Airport South Field to honour Canadian Armed Forces Members
The City of Oshawa advises that the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign, in partnership with Trees for Life, the Ontario Regiment Museum and the City, will be planting hundreds of trees at the Oshawa Executive Airport South Field, located at 1000 Stevenson Road North in Oshawa.
Planting will occur in two phases beginning this November on the City-owned community buffer located adjacent to the Ontario Regiment Museum, and is part of the Highway of Heroes Tree Tribute, which honours fallen members of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Working with Trees for Life, the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign plants native trees and shrubs that support local biodiversity and ecosystems while also increasing the urban canopy across Canada. Learn more by visiting the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign website.
