Volunteers needed for City Boards and Committees
The City of Oshawa is seeking individuals who are interested in becoming more involved in their community by donating their skills and time to deal with various issues associated with our City relating to local government.
The appointment of citizens to boards and committees listed below give the public an opportunity to volunteer their skills and time to deal with various issues associated with our City.
Current volunteer opportunities include:
Committee of Adjustment
To review and consider minor variances from the provisions of municipal by-laws such as the Zoning By-law, including changes to legal non‑conforming uses. Term is until November 2026.
The process
City Council will consider the names of Oshawa citizens who wish to stand for appointment. Along with a resume, every committee candidate must submit an application form, available at City Clerk Services, City Hall, Fifth Floor, Rundle Tower, 50 Centre Street South, Oshawa or online at www.oshawa.ca/CommitteeRecruitment. Applicants will be contacted for an interview.
