Kars on King revs up downtown Oshawa August 25
Hundreds of classic vehicles will line downtown Oshawa streets for everyone to admire when Kars on King, presented by Atria Developments, returns on Friday, August 25 from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The City of Oshawa is thrilled to partner with Autofest Nationals, Canadian Automotive Museum, Tribute Communities Centre and Oshawa Tourism to bring Kars on King, a free downtown event featuring various vehicle makes and models dating back to 1991 and older.
Something for everyone
Admission to the event is free. Kars on King features free, fun activities for all ages, including:
- classic car displays
- live entertainment on the Main Stage at the four corners of downtown Oshawa (King Street and Simcoe Street)
- opening ceremonies on the Main Stage at 5 p.m.
- Batman and the Batmobile, children’s entertainers, crafts, animal acts and more at Memorial Park (near Simcoe Street and Metcalfe Street)
- community displays
- sponsor activations
- strolling buskers
- a wide variety of culinary choices from various downtown Oshawa restaurants
Our Partners
Tribute Communities Centre is excited to welcome back its annual Touch a Truck event that takes place outside the centre from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. during Kars on King. This free, hands-on event allows children of all ages to get up close and personal with more than 40 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Children will love the interactive displays and the opportunity to learn about the vehicles from the drivers.
Motor City Car Club will be on site promoting Autofest Nationals, which takes place Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 at Lakeview Park in Oshawa. If you are a car enthusiast and want to see even more vintage vehicles over the weekend, be sure to visit Lakeview Park. Canadian Automotive Museum will be offering admission by donation to the museum from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The museum is home to the most significant collection of Canadian automotive history in the world. Visit to enjoy a great selection of classic cars and Disney Pixar's Lightning McQueen!
Be sure to visit the Oshawa Tourism booth to discover hidden gems in our vibrant city, steeped in automotive history and rich culture. The team will be on-site to share must-visit attractions, incredible dining recommendations, and other great places to visit in the city.
